HOME
Welcome to the Cherokee Of Georgia website. This site provides useful information
about our tribe and our powwows that we hope will help to make your visit
enjoyable and meaningful. We have been hosting our powwows since 1980,
and we hope that you will come back and powwow with us every year.
Be sure to check out our Events page and our FAQ section. They contain
much further information about our upcoming powwow! (like driving directions, camping
and motel info, eats, etc. etc.) As the starting date for our powwow approaches,
we may not be able to respond to phone or e-mail inquiries as quickly as we'd like,
but we think that the information on those pages will be adequate for most needs.
While visiting at our powwow, we encourage you to browse through our traders'
areas and see the many items they're offering for sale. Also, do stop by the
many demonstrations that are presented during the weekend, to learn more about
our history and culture.
Admission to The Cherokee Of Georgia Powwow is absolutely FREE! Please note that the
following items are prohibited, and may not be brought on to our Tribal Grounds:
Alcoholic Beverages
Drugs
Firearms
Attitude
You can navigate this website easily by clicking the menu buttons provided
at the top part of each page. Simply click Home to return to this page
at any time.
Again, check out our FAQ Section. There, you will
find Frequently Asked Questions and their answers, arranged in several broad
categories. Within those categories, they are listed by their subject. We trust
that you will find them useful and informative.
In our Photo Section, you'll find a collection of pictures of our council,
members, princesses, grounds, and as well as snapshots from our powwows.
